Team History

Team Ohio U-17 Black will be playing in its third season during 2010-2011. During the 2008-2009 season, the team started with 14 players from 4 Team Ohio 2007-2008 teams (Two players coming from the Titans, five from U-14 Green, six from U-14 Black and one from U-14 White) who played in the MRL or MOSSL leagues. Three additional players previously played with the Olentangy Classics and one player came from PASA. Each of these players played for their specific high schools during the 2008 fall season except for one trapped player who played with another team in the Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer (BPYSL) and Mid Ohio Select Soccer (MOSSL) Leagues in the fall of 2008. The Team played in the Buckey Premier Elite Division during its inaugural season with a 2-3-2 record. The team was the 2009 Virginia Legacy President's Day Cup Semi-Finalist losing to the eventual winner (Arundel Real Azul) in the second overtime period 1 -2. The team was also the Creek Classic Finalist, losing in the last 6 seconds 0 - 1 to Ohio Galaxies 93 Elite. As TOFC U-16 Black, there were a few changes to the roster makeup for 2009 - 2010 with the team again playing in the Buckeye Premier Elite Division and also the MRL First Division East White. They ended the season as the Pacesetter Invitational Semi-finalist losing to the eventual winner 1 -0 in a grueling double overtime and double PK sudden death shoot out.
