Soccer juggling is the best exercise to develop touch with the soccer ball. Juggling will help develop body control and balance. Better balance will enable a soccer player to move to the right, while maintaining balance to shoot the ball to the left, etc. With good juggling skills, players will make better passes, beat defenders more easily, and be able to hold the ball against defensive pressure because of better touch on the ball.
To belong to the juggling club, players will work to complete three different levels: 150 touches, 300 touches and 500 touches.
- Players will use the honor system to report accomplishments.
- Any Team Ohio coach is able to settle possible disputes.
- Nike tee shirts will be rewarded at each level of achievement & players pictures will be featured on the new Team Ohio FC Web site.
In addition, there will be a club competition at team camp in August with a champion named in each age group. Prizes will be awarded and pictures will be posted on the club Web site.
Rules:
- Players may only count touches made with their feet. Players may use other body parts to keep the ball in the air but can not count it in the total number of juggles.
- If the ball touches the ground player must start over at zero.
- Players should report each level of achievement by emailing Missy Grether.
Good luck and have fun!
