Club Ohio at Soccer First is now accepting applications for spring soccer.  The program will be run by Juniors Director, Paul Gualitieri.  Children ages 5 and 6 (birthdate Aug1, 2005- July 31, 2007) and ages U7 and U8 (birthdates Aug 1, 2003-July, 31st 2005) are eligible.

 

The Junior kids in the 5-6 age group will meet 1 day per week. Emphasis will be placed on movements, patterns, and small sided games. This is excellent supplemental training for recreation league players.

 

Juniors  in the U7 and U8 group will meet 1-2 days per week. The U8 AAA Level will play a 9 game M.O.S.S.L. schedule, the AA level will play small

sided scrimmages at Soccer First.  This is also excellent supplemental training for recreational league participants.

 

There are no cuts in the Academy, everyone plays! The purpose of the Academy is to prepare young players to enter higher level Club Soccer at ages 9 or 10.

]]> http://www.clubohiosoccer.com/home/595847.html U10 Girls Rovers Win MOSSL Sportsmanship Award 11/16/2011 09:03 AM http://www.clubohiosoccer.com/home/579642.html The U10 Girls Rovers coached by Jon Heath was honored to be a recipient of the inaugural MOSSL Sportsmanship Award, sponsored by Dick’s Sporting Goods.  According to MOSSL, this award was an overwhelming success with 103 nominations being submitted to the MOSSL office after the MOSSL End of Season Tournament.  The purpose of this award is to recognize and reward the demonstrations of good sportsmanship during the tournament.  Each team received a $50 gift certificate to Dick’s Sporting Goods.  The Rovers were one of only five teams selected!

Congratulations Girls!  Thanks for representing Club Ohio so well!

U12 COSA Green Boys

The U12 Boys participated in the Championship Division and went 3-0 to advance to the championship.  Along the way, they beat: 

  • CUP Sycamore Ajax 2-1
  • Cutters Red 4-2
  • TKO Premier 5-0

In the championship, they fell 1-3 to Legends Elite.

U13 Boys Green

The U13 Boys Green participated in the Premier Division and went 1-0-1 to advance to the semifinals with a draw against Lou Fusz Premier and a win over Bluegrass 1-0.  In the semis they defeated Classics Eagles Red 1-0.  And, in the championship, they defeated Westside United Green 2-0.  They are pictured below with their awards:

U14 Strikers

The U14 Strikers participated in the Premier Division.  To advance to the finals, they beat:

  • Louisville Soccer Alliance 2-0.
  • TKO Premier 4-1
  • Bluegrass Soccer 2-1

In the championship, they controlled the game, but were unable to score in regulation and two overtimes.  They lost in PKs 4-3.   They are pictured below with their awards.

Starting in fall 2011, Team Ohio FC will be called Club Ohio.  This decision was made in order to bring all the clubs that have joined our new organization under one new name.

For the 2011-2012 seasons, Club Ohio will field 82 teams from four different areas.  Our teams will be recognized as:

  • Club Ohio (these will be the Dublin based teams)
  • Club Ohio Locker Soccer
  • Club Ohio COSA
  • Club Ohio Marietta
  • Club Ohio Dayton


There are many advantages in going with this new club format:

  • Larger player pools for guest players and all-star teams
  • Increased participation with all Club Ohio events
  • Friendly game weekends
  • Growing the brand of just one club name instead of five


There are many other exciting things that will be added during the soccer year.  Please check the Web site for updates.

The Club Ohio Web site will be complete in early August. This new web address is: clubohiosoccer.com. All team names, Head Coaches, Administrators, and Board of Directors members will also be posted at that time.

Dublin Jerome is coached by Club Ohio Girls Co-Director Josh Brader. They come into the game with a 18-1-1 record
and have outscored their opponents in four tournament games 29-1.

Dublin Coffman is coached by Club Ohio Girls Co-Director Marc D'Autueil. Their current record is 15-3-2, and have outscored thier opponents
so far in the tournament 18-0.

]]> http://www.clubohiosoccer.com/home/576906.html U13 Cosmos win CASL Boys Soccer Shootout 11/16/2009 08:08 AM http://www.clubohiosoccer.com/home/382391.html Over the weekend of November 14-15, the U13 Cosmos traveled to Raleigh, NC to participate in the CASL Boys Soccer Shootout.  The Cosmos had a fantastic tournament.  In group play, they had lopsided wins over Beach FC Red and Triangle United.  In the semifinals, they defeated the Richmond Strikers 2-0.  In the championship game they faced powerhouse Livingston Lions and won 1-0 in a closely contested match.

Way to go Boys!  Good Luck in Disney!

]]> http://www.clubohiosoccer.com/home/382391.html U11 Boys Roma Win COSA Fall Classic! 11/12/2009 08:48 AM http://www.clubohiosoccer.com/home/381548.html The U11 Boys Roma took home the championship trophies this weekend at the COSA Fall Classic in the U-11 Black division.  After losing the first game 3-2 to a team from Fort Wayne, IN,  the Boys won their next two games against the Flash and WASA.  Then they came back and beat Fort Wayne in the Championship Game 3-2 in a Shoot-out!  The boys played hard and ended this fall season with a great win and geared up for a winning Spring season.

  • vs. Chillicothe Frst Capitals, Tie 3-3
  • vs. Olentangy Lightning, Win 5-2
  • vs. Wasa Wings 1-1

In the championship match the boys faced Gahanna FC Blue and were still tied after overtime.  The Arsenal took the championship 3-2 in penalty kicks for an exciting finish.

]]> http://www.clubohiosoccer.com/home/383210.html U13 Cosmos Win Disney Junior Showcase 11/29/2009 05:53 PM http://www.clubohiosoccer.com/home/385060.html Over Thanksgiving weekend, the U13 Cosmos traveled to Orlando, FL to participate in the Disney Junior Showcase.  To advance out of group play they beat:  JYSC Fury Green (Florida), SAA Real Madrid Miami (FL) and Cobb Football Chiefs 97 Premier (GA).  In the semifinals they beat Brentwood 97 Premier (TN) 4-2.  And, in the championship, they beat the Dallas Texans 97 Red Dallas (TX) 2-0.
